What Kind of Child Were You
This exercise combines guided imagery with journaling. After picking an upsetting incident from your childhood, Dan will guide you through witnessing this event in your mind’s eye. This will help you understand a great deal about what you were like as a child, how sensitive or emotional your temperament was – as well as the way you were treated by family members when you were upset. Having witnessed the event, you can then journal about what you saw, thought and felt, which will help you make sense of the experience – and embed key learnings about what kind of child you were and how this has shaped you in adult life.
